Covid 19 has played havoc in the lives of the humans all round the world. It has devastated livelihood of the people at much larger scale. It has caused innumerable deaths, loss of habitat , employment, food and shelter in a big picture. Stringent lockdown has led migrants nowhere. Their walking migration from urban area to back at their homes isn't the thing we are unaware. Women and children became the more vulnerable sections in its impact.
India has reported its first case in January, 2020. The incident marked the beginning of a tiresome, economically and emotional draining year for india. The indian COVID style can be divided into four phases, the lockdown, the disastrous second wave, the third wave and presently the omicron wave.
Covid 19 affected different sections of the indian society. The richer one can afford to bear the consequences of social activity a little longer while the poor straved. India being a developing country was struck with its own set of challenges and triumphs.
The economy side is probably the most impacted one. The travel restrictions , supply chains got disrupted. Shut down of retail stores, educational institutions pushed many middle class below poverty line and children vulnerable to child labour.
On the social level, we could find entire humanity in ruins. The country experienced severe shortage of oxygen supplies during the second wave which led to the death proliferation to 49 lakhs.
Just as phoenix rises from its ashes. The country faught this war on humanity with its successful vaccination. Vaccination in the world's second most populous country is a herculean task. At, present 70.5 % of the country's 15+ age population are fully vaccinated while 92.9 % have received at least one dose.
