Movie review: A Thursday

PLOT

A plot is set around a school teacher of small town in Mumbai. A school teacher runs a playschool in her fiance's house where several kids spend their day when their parents are at work. She has a finance named Rohit Mirchandani , who know her since 7 years.

This school teacher, Naina Jaiswal on a Thursday hostages all those 16 kids and keeps her demands.

This News spread its tentacles all through the media all round the nation.

Suspense
So , the suspense here is Why a normal school teacher hostages all those 16 kids ? Although she was loved by all. All of the children's parents loved and adored her.

Why is she keeping her demands? What she really wants out of this demands? Especially calling a prime minister at her house for a one to one conversation. This makes audience curious and anxious to know as to why is she doing it ? Also , audience couldn't kept them away to shape the predictions that she might be doing it because she is a mental patient. Maybe because has someone beloved in an accident case where government has the fault. Even i was making the predictions too.
This is definitely a jaw dropping movie. It was hard to keep the eye away from it.

Cast
A school teacher, Naina Jaiswal - Yami Gautam
Fiancee of Naina Jaiswal, Rohit Mirchandani - Karamvir sharma
ACP Catherine, handling the case , who is pregnant- Neha Dhupiya
Inspector Javed khan, divorced ACP Catherine - Atul Kulkarni
Prime Minister -  Dimple Kapadia

All of them are in a lead role. ACP CATHERINE, a pregnant woman (of 5- 6 months.) It is attractive to see a courageous woman on duty , reports the case first. Arrives first on sight.

Atul Kulkarni as Inspector, a junior of ACP Catherine and also divorced her some months back. Although this part as what is the connection between Inspector Javed khan and ACP Catherine has not been shown clearly. One of the scene is there where two of them talk. He says " Accha hua humari koi aulaad nhi hui." That's where audience gets to know that these both has some connection between them.

Yami Gautam has always been seen living and indulged in character in her movies. But this time i find that she was trying her best. For me , it would be not wrong to say that she was into her character.

Dimple Kapadia as usual best at her role. She plays the role of a prime minister. This emotional prome minister fulfils Naina Jaiswal 's demand and agrees to meet her at her house where those are hostage. Not only this she gathers courage to arrive at the spot as she knows that Naina Jaiswal has killed one of the child. She killed a child when her demand was refused. She goes live on Instagram and kills the child , although not actually killing him now this is a suspense.

Music and sound
Sound effects made the movie more thrilling. There is no song in this movie. I can say it as a long extended documentary.

Recommendation
I strongly recommend this movie to my readers as it is based on Rape victims and law of the land. It showcases the drawbacks at zenith in our judicial laws. Especially the poor police system.

Naina Jaiswal has been raped. Her mother repeatedly beseech police officers to arrest the perpetrators. Inspector Javed khan ignores and leave the case at bay. Her mother asks for justice since two years but no response comes.

This movie leave audience dumbstruck. It made us think about the laws related to rape. When Naina Jaiswal says " Is desh mein log behre bane ghoomte hain, jab tak kaan mein chilao na unko sunai nhi deta." This gives a guilt that somewhere its our fault of our paralysed laws because we don't care. We wait our young and  dear ones to be in trouble and then we will take the action.

I profoundly recommend this movie to my readers. See and think what can be done ? This kind of cinema is not just a cinema but many more causes to fetch and rethink that rape accused does not deserve only candle march but .................,...................
