Panchayat 1 left a strong impact on me. The beautiful depiction of the village life, villagers, and struggling Abhishek achieve Ji among all this was funny to watch. Since then I awaited the second season.
Panchayat season 2 finally arrived. Some days after the release I resist watching it because of the reason that it would be just an extension of it and a similar storyline will be shown. However, I can't keep myself away from it much longer.
I began the series and ended up with tears in my eyes. What a masterpiece these people have created.
Abhishek (as Panchayat Sachiv of Phulera who is a Delhi boy and preparing for CAT ), Pradhan Ji, Vikas (as sahayak in Panchayat Office ), and Prahalad (as uppradhan ) struggled for the construction of the road on the outskirts of the village because of which many villagers are facing difficulty in moving to and fro. They requested the village's Vidhyak but it let them down. The uncivilized and abusive behavior of Vidhyak discouraged them from the successful completion the road denying them funds.
Among all of these their adventure is exhibited. Their friendship, daaru party, Abhishek's best friend visits the village to meet him and enjoys a typical village scene, their crispy fights, snake in the panchayat office, breakage of the marriage of the Pradhan ji's daughter Rinky which upset Pradhan Ji but not Rinky.
The audience is introduced to the new character, Prahlad's ( uppradhan) son. He works in the army and is on a holiday.
The conflict takes place between Pradhan Ji and Abhishek. They both went to Vidhyak Ji to fund road construction where vidhyak abuses Abhishek. Abhishek began disliking him. But Pradhan Ji has to favor vidhayak to get the funds for road construction. Pradhan Ji decides to organize kirtan in the village where Vidhayak Ji will be the guest, which when comes into the knowledge of Abhishek he gets infuriated. He says ' pradhan Ji vidhayak Ji ko balance ki kya zarurat hai, jab Mujhe Gandi gaaliyan de rahe they tho aapne Ek Shabd Bhi NHI bola........... Dosti ki hai tho nibhani Bhi padti hai, main tho nibha RHA hun aapka PTA Nahi.'
Abhishek realized that he made a mistake by getting furious with pradhan Ji and this resolves everything. All of their sets for the daaru party but something tremendously bad happens.
Call come to Prahlad that his son is no more. The jubilant, hilarious, bubbly Prahlad turns deserted as his son was the only one left in his family.
This was the most emotional scene in their funny friendship. What a beautiful and natural acting by the Actors. Their performance is just speechless.
I strongly recommend the series to my all reading it. If you find something simple, hilarious, sublime cinema then this is so for you. If not then also go and watch it. It's worth watching, no room for doubt.
When Prahlad says "hum bahut akele ho gaye pradhan Ji."
