UP CM Yogi Adityanath gives a strict warning.
Those
celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India in the recent T20 cricket world cup
match will face sedition charges, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath says
on Thursday.
He mentioned
his statement in his official Twitter handle of his office. He asserted this statement
in regard of the three engineering students booked in Agra for celebrating Pakistan’s
victory and raising anti-india slogans. Nine other has been detained and arrested
in Uttar Pradesh.
Similar
case has been seen in Rajasthan where a senior teacher has been expelled , after
posting a WhatsApp status over the match , which went viral.
Jammu
and Kashmir Police have registered two FIRs under the stringent Unlawful
Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against two medical colleges students in
Srinagar for allegedly indulging in a celebration of the Pakistan team’s win.
Niaz
was booked for sedition and under relevant sections of the Information
Technology Act on Tuesday and sent to jail on Wednesday, the officer said.
Pakistan
